A 286-page monograph of a Hawiian artist’Äôs collected images and writing. The layout and design try to make transparent the time specific images and works are from, as well as the documentary nature of objects, letters and articles which are decades old.

The client is the great-grandson of the former commander of the Austrian army, and his voice and style of work is in the heavier weight of type and abrupt layouts.

Responsibilities included editing copy, organizing the manuscript and pacing of images, acquiring and managing images and working with the Hong Kong printer.
