Concordia Franˆßais Newspaper

I specified type, grid and tone for the French language newspaper of Montreal's Concordia university, and designed a few spreads for the regular staff to work with in the future.

The idea was to design a student newspaper which had a layout quitedifferent than the English language newspaper at the same school. The newspaper functioned more like a magazine or language journal than a newspaper, I decided the form didn't have to organize information as a newspaper would, and allowed the form to define itself around the content.

The typeface Eureka was used because of the low contrast which survives newsprint well, and more importantly the generous attention given to its accents.
